2. So when you are old enough and have your own home, people don't think I raised a slob.
3. So little, crawly creatures don't come visiting you at night.
4. Because your room is in my house.
5. Because this isn't a hotel with room service.

Great post! I should remember those :). My son is still young, but sometimes I do try to reason with him. It's never too early, I guess!

Truly "because I said so" was my mums favourite while I was growing up and it worked magic on me. I bet she must have had a good laugh a number of times.
We never realize our mother was right until we grow up...
