#6 Be Nice


If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything.

Growing up we were scolded for putting someone down, not saying please or thank you, or for being downright nasty. Do we take the time to stop and listen at how we speak to our spouses, brothers, sisters, friends or even strangers on the street.

Christianity
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. -Ephesians 4:32

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another.. -Romans 12:10

An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up. -Proverbs 12:25

Judaism
A gentle answer deflects anger,but harsh words make tempers flare. -Proverbs 15:1

Buddhism
